The first 2010 awards to top security journalists were announced at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, U.S.

As I have mentioned in the past, as a security company, we thank security specialists in media and blogs worldwide for their support in raising awareness and informing the public about security issues. They help us provide insight into an increasing problem and help us convince international administrations and authorities to join forces in the fight against cyber-crime.

The professionals awarded in this first edition were:

  1. Brian Krebs, outstanding security expert who has posted articles in the Washington Post for over fifteen years and who has recently taken part in the Second Security Blogger Summit we held in Madrid.
  2. Robert McMillan, IDG journalist and co-author of the CSO Online blog.
  3. Kevin Poulsen, ex-hacker and security journalist for Wired since 2000.
  4. Tim Wilson, professional with more than 25 years’ experience in security and co-founder of Dark Reading.
  5. Kim Zetter, freelance journalist who has collaborated widely in the media, including contributions to Wired.
  6. Byron Acohido, who as you will remember, attended the First Edition of the Security Blogger Summit. Byron is also the author of the famous blog Last Watch Dog and a journalist for USA Today.
  7. Keith Epstein, author of the blog that bears his name, and acclaimed investigative journalist who currently writes for the Huffington Post.
  8. Dan Goodin, journalist who in the past covered legal issues and those related to government entities and financial markets, collaborating with different leading media. At present he writes for The Register.
  9. Siobhan Gorman has 13 years experience writing articles on intelligence, terrorism and national security in the Washington D.C office. She currently works for the Wall Street Journal.
  10.  Robert Lemos, author of the security blog under his own name, and former journalist for CNET.

Congratulations to you all!
